Beyond technical skills and the obvious of course.

To get a job and keep it, you need more than technical skills.

Since my full-time working for other company days, I have always tried to use themed days.  When I worked with a team, I would set aside specific days for different teams and administrative tasks.  My team knew I only had HR and people related conversations on Wednesday unless it was urgent. Themed days allow me to keep on top of all recurring parts of my business and different projects.  Over the last year, I have tried to do the same.  I plan to update my 2020 Week based on my 20/20 Vision. 

The best way to eliminate the status quo and uplevel your approach is to open yourself up to learning and implementing.  My favorite way to stay up to date with leadership focused content is by subscribing to newsletters.

Since 2017 I have invested over $50k into my personal and professional development

So, I was initially shocked (and scared to share this) when I calculated the numbers, but I was really curious and inspired by a coach I have worked with who has done something similar.  I invested a little over $25k in mostly coaching and consulting related education and business development if I remove the $30k I spent on my leadership-focused MBA.
