This ONE Practice Changed my Week
Do you find that you never have enough time to finish your to-do list?
For the last few weeks, I have been sharing my approach to getting things done, so I don’t feel overwhelmed with responsibilities, and I am not firefighting.
I have broken down how I start with a yearly vision and my review process.
I wanted to offer you some additional insight into how I prioritize and focus weekly.
Setting time aside to reflect, plan then schedule (you can see a visual of how I have shifted my approach to work here) has been a game-changer for me.
Weekly I pour out all my tasks and responsibilities onto a piece of paper to get it out of my head.
Then, I select the tasks I want to complete (or delegate) in the upcoming week and schedule it into my calendar.
WHAT I HAVE LEARNED
- To-do lists by themselves don’t work for me.
- Waiting until the last minute to make my schedule doesn’t get me very far.
- I get more done when I spend a few minutes, reflecting on what I want to accomplish once a week.
